Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu, accommodation, walking tour (first acquaintance), welcome dinner

Welcome to the land of Himalayas! As soon as you arrive, we will be there to receive you and escort you to your hotel room. Once rested and settled down, you can take a lazy stroll around your hotel and take in as much of Kathmandu as you can without getting any culture shock. We make sure that your first acquaintance with the capital city is a memorable one! Join us for some Nepali delicacy in the evening followed by a pre-departure meeting. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Aryatara Kathmandu Hotel Day 02 : Kathmandu city sightseeing program
Today is a big day for you as you finally get to kick-start your adventure! We have a lot of sightseeing in store for you starting with Kathmandu, the nerve-center of Nepal. It flaunts rich history and vibrant culture in every possible nook and cranny. Kathmandu Durbar Square is rich with ancient palaces with spectacular art and architecture whereas Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest places for Hindus. You then make your way to the largest stupa in the world: Boudhanath Stupa followed by Swayambhunath Temple. Swayambhunath meaning the "the self-existent" is popular among foreigners owing to the large monkey population residing in the area. No wonder it’s also called “Monkey Temple”. Make sure you keep an eye out for these notorious creatures. Transfer to Nagarkot in the evening. Overnight in Nagarkot.

Country Villa ResortDay 03 : Drive Pokhara, sightseeing of Barahi temple
Altitude: [823m/2,700ft], Drive : 6-7 hrs
Drive to Pokhara takes about 5-6 hours from Kathmandu. You will enjoy the winding road with some of the most gorgeous landscapes and inspiring images reflect in your rear-view mirror. Peaceful Pokhara has a prime position beside a deep green lake, nestling among forested hills with a picture-postcard backdrop of gleaming Himalayan peaks. The town offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others. Take a boat ride in the pristine Phewa Lake, the second biggest lake of Nepal and pay your respect to Tal Barahi Temple right in the heart of the lake! You’ll feel blessed. Overnight in Pokhara.

Hotel Crystal PalaceDay 04 : Transfer to Bijayapur Khola, trekking to Kalikasthan
Altitude: [1,370m/4,496ft]: 1 hr drive, 4-5 hrs trek
You can start stretching your legs for your trek starts today. A 30 minute drive from Pokhara will take you to Bijayapur Khola, marking your initial trekking point. You start off through flat paddy fields for an hour and cross the river. The trail passes through the rice fields and climbs gently along a ridge top through Brahman and Chhetri villages towards Kalikasthan. Excellent views of Machapuchhare and Annapurna will keep you company. Once in Kalikasthan, get some rest and feel free to explore the surrounding areas in the evening. Have fun interacting and exchanging stories with the locals in the cozy teahouse where you will be spending your night. Overnight in Kalikasthan.

TeahouseDay 05 : Trekking from Kalikasthan to Syaklung
Altitude: [1,730m/5,675ft]: 5-6 hrs trek
The trail continues along the forested ridge top through Thulokot to Mati Thana, where there are a few tea shops, then a moderate climb to Naudanda (not to be confused with the Naudanda west of Pokhara). You walk along the ridge of the mountain with Annapurna and Lamjung Himal for a backdrop. You make your way through local villages and rhododendron forests and finally stop at Syaklung. Overnight in Syaklung.

TeahouseDay 06 : Trekking from Syaklung to Chisapani
Altitude: [1550m/5,084ft]: 5-6 hrs trek
Start your day with a walk through Gurung villages, a small but lovely marketplace while you play hide and seek with rhododendron and sal forests. Halfway through the walk there is a 400 meter descent and 600 meter ascent before arriving at Chisapani. Chisapani is ‘the’ place for those who yearn for Himalayan panorama to unfold right before their eyes. You can see Dhaulagiri (8167m) to the west of Annapurna to your heart’s content and head off for some warm dinner and cozy sleep in the local teahouse. Overnight in Chisapani.

TeahouseDay 07 : Trekking from Chisapani to Pokhara
Altitude: [823m/2,700ft]
Today we walk half way down the hill to Rupa Lake and climb about 200 meters to arrive at Sundare Danda. You further walk for 15 minutes down to Begnas Lake and treat yourself to an hour of boating. Serenity surrounds the pristine and calm water of Begnas where you can take a moment to yourself and find inner peace. Finally you make your way to Pokhara and call it a day for today or those of you who are up for more fun can explore the Pokhara city in the evening. Grab some food and drinks by the picturesque Phewa Lake in the evening where you can find a strip of hotels and restaurants. Overnight in Pokhara.

Altitude: [1300m/4,264ft], 5-6 hrs drive
Jumpstart early in the morning for you have got a bus to catch! You will be driving back to Kathmandu through the scenic countryside. The drive is about 7 hours where you will stop in between for breakfast and lunch. Once in Kathmandu, take rest, trade emails or go for last minute shopping in the evening. You do not want to miss out on some of the fantastic souvenirs from around here. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Today is the day you bid goodbye to the land of Himalayas. Our representative transfers you to the airport three hours prior to the departure. They say goodbyes are not forever. Perhaps you might be back for more mountain adventures. Who knows!

We reserve the right to amend the itinerary in cases of unforeseen circumstances: weather conditions, a health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc, can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. The tour leader will make the changes for safety reasons and also to improve the trip as well as your experience. The leader will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan, so one needs to be flexible if required.
